Prayer Rally, Theological Seminar, My Hope Sunday is coming (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/16)

With our theme of Being a House of Prayer, we're having a Pastoral Prayer every Sunday. We'll have a different topic to pray about each month led by an elder. February's prayer topic is "Family". Today, Elder Roderick Harrison read Ephesians 6:1-4 and prayed for parents and children.

If you have not done so yet, please pick up your contribution statements from the Welcome Center.

Our next church-wide prayer rally will be on Tuesday, 2/18, from 7 to 8pm. We'll also be fasting (from whatever the Lord leads you...food, drink, social media, etc.) on Tuesday.

Join us for our upcoming FREE Theological Seminar on Saturday, February 22nd at 9:00am where I will be teaching biblical principles and patterns for how to experience life-giving prayer times. Please register online.


My Hope Sunday is coming. All of our members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to join us at church on 3/8. During that service, we will share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We handed out commitment cards today where you can write down the name(s) of those you are committed to inviting. We will collect the commitment cards on 3/1 to pray over. We also have invite cards that you can use so start praying about who you will invite for My Hope Sunday.

My Hope Sunday, M:T Not a Competition, Prayer Gathering (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/13)

Today was My Hope Sunday ! We had several invited guests, and my message was from 1 Samuel 8:4-9 on "Looking for a Savior".  Israel wanted a king like the other nations who would “save” them. This is the very definition of a functional savior. A functional savior is anything or anyone a person looks to for ultimate hope, security, identity, or fulfillment in place of God. Whatever you look to to “save” you from your problems, fears, or insecurities is your functional savior. But all of our functional saviors cannot save us. Jesus is the Savior we really need!  Our greatest need in this life and the life to come is to have our sins forgiven by trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior!
