Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.

Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’

This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.

History of the Vision

Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has called us to continues. Without the burden of debt, we are free to expand our vision, invest more in missions, and impact lives in ways we truly desired. This isn’t the end—this is a new beginning! Let’s dedicate ourselves anew to being a light in our community, advancing God’s kingdom, and spreading His love.

Our mission and purpose: Worship Christ. Spread the Gospel. Serve the Community.

Closing Prayer:

Father, we give You all the glory and honor today. Thank You for guiding us through this season and for the abundant blessings You have poured out. As we have burned this mortgage, we ask that You light a new fire in our hearts for Your mission. Lead us into the future with boldness, and may this church continue to stand as a beacon of hope and love for generations to come. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
