Hurricane Relief Effort, Sign Language Class, MyHope Commitment Cards (Pastoral Emphasis for 9/10)

Let's continue to pray for those impacted by hurricanes especially in light of Hurricane Irma approaching Florida. Currently, we are planning to raise an offering to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. One of our core values is that "The church is God’s plan A, there is no plan B". This means that want to partner with & support churches doing Gospel work. We will be donating to the Harvey Hurricane Relief of Crossover Bible Fellowship Church in Houston, Texas.

Next Sunday, the love offering will go to Harvey Relief. If you're ready to give beforehand, give to the love offering with a note saying "Harvey" or "Hurricane".

The Fine Arts Worship Ministry is currently offering a free Sign Language Class on 2nd and 4th Saturdays through November 25th. The class is 9:30 am to 11 am in the MPR. All are invited to attend who want to learn the gift of sign language. For more information, please contact Sis. Jackie Bradley.

Join us for our Discipleship Journey at Bible Study. On Wednesday at 7pm, we'll look at what it means to go with Christ. We are commissioned to go out as disciples to make disciples.

Our next My Hope Sunday is 10/8. All of our members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to join us at church. During that service, we will share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Commitment cards are available in the bulletin. Write down the names of those you are committing to invite. We're collect them on 10/1 and pray for these individuals. The topic will be on what makes Christianity different than all other world religions.

Deaconess Rhonda Spivey shared her testimony how the sudden death of her brother caused her much pain and depression. But she cried out to God and gained an authentic relationship with Him. So when her father later passed, she was much more at peace because of her relationship with God and her hope in Jesus.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved
