Intercessory Prayer Training Videos, Elder-led Prayer, TwistedToo Survey (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/21)

We want to welcome Travis & Laurie Anderson who joined Mt. Zion on their Christian experience. Sis. Laurie is a candidate for baptism.

Thanks to those who attended the intercessory prayer training on yesterday. The videos (part 1 & part 2) from it are posted on our YouTube channel.

Join us again this Wednesday at 7:00pm for our Bible Study series, "The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis". This week, we'll look at Genesis 25-35 to see Jesus in the life of Jacob.

The next Elder-led Prayer will be held on this Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. If you are not able to attend but have prayer requests, you can submit them online.

Zone 4 members along with the Western Wake Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta conducted a service today at Phoenix Assisted Living at 2pm. The J.A. Lewis Choir and Fine Arts Ministry ministered and Deacon David Bowser delivered God's Word.

My Hope Sunday is 3/20. All members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever/unchurched person to attend church with you. Sis. Sandra Broadwater shared her testimony about her hope in Christ as God is working in the heart of her husband as he battled cancer.

I'm going to extend our Twisted Too series and I need your help to determine the next topic. I'll be sending out a survey this week to get everyone's choice for the next sermon:
  • Phil. 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"
  • Ex. 21:23-25: "an eye for eye, tooth for tooth"
  • Romans 8:28: "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."
  • Ps. 37:4: "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart"
  • Other: submit a passage for consideration

Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.   ---     Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’   This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.   --- History of the Vision         Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has ...

My Hope Sunday, M:T Not a Competition, Prayer Gathering (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/13)

Today was My Hope Sunday ! We had several invited guests, and my message was from 1 Samuel 8:4-9 on "Looking for a Savior".  Israel wanted a king like the other nations who would “save” them. This is the very definition of a functional savior. A functional savior is anything or anyone a person looks to for ultimate hope, security, identity, or fulfillment in place of God. Whatever you look to to “save” you from your problems, fears, or insecurities is your functional savior. But all of our functional saviors cannot save us. Jesus is the Savior we really need!  Our greatest need in this life and the life to come is to have our sins forgiven by trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior! Today, my wife shared her My Hope Testimony .   (RSS Subscribers: click here to watch the video) Missions:Together’s "Not a Competition" is a powerful missions gathering designed to re-ignite your passion for missions on Saturday, November 2, hosted at The Summit Church in Apex.
