Congrats 2015 Graduates, Vacation, Farewell to Sis. Jackie Smart (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

Congratulations to all of our High School graduates. May God continue to bless you as you move to the next stage of your lives.  Also congrats to those who have earned college degrees.

I'm looking for those interested in the ministry of intercessory prayer. There will be a brief meeting after church on 6/28 for all who are interested in the Prayer & Intercessory team.

VBS starts tomorrow (June 15 -19). VBS is totally FREE; but any donations are appreciated. Please register online. The Cary PD will be joining us on the last night to talk with the Adult class (part of our effort to build a better community relationship between the police and the African-American community).

My family and I will be going on vacation this week so we'll miss VBS and be out next Sunday. The Twisted sermon series will continue (addressing "Where there is no vision, the people perish"). Please pray for us as we travel.

Today is the last Sunday for Sis. Jackie Smart as she will be moving to Texas to be with her son and family.  We want to thank her for all she has done in teaching and serving our children.  She will be greatly missed.

So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
