Bereavement, JA Lewis Scholarship, Member in Need (Pastoral Emphasis for 5/3)

Bereavement: Please pray for Minister Rasheeda Oliver whose grandmother passed away last week. The homegoing service was today in Georgia.  Pray for the comfort of the family as they mourn the loss of their loved one.

We are reading through the Bible as a church family this year. We're following the 52 week reading plan.

We are on week 18. In preparation for week 5 of our Romans Bible Study series, review Romans 6-8 as we'll finish that up and start reading chapter 9. Join us again on Wednesday at 7pm.

High School Seniors: The J. A. Lewis Scholarship application packets are currently available from the church office. Submission deadline is May 31, 2015.

VBS is coming! It will on June 15 -19. Registration starts today. The cost is $20 per family, $15 per couple, and $10 per single.  Don't miss out.  VBS is for the whole family.

As a part of our purpose to serve the community, we have "adopted" West Cary Middle School.  Now we have another opportunity to serve the school again as they need proctors for EOGs.  The testing dates have changed and they are now May 28th, May 29th, June 1st & June 2nd.  The hours of 7:30 am - 11:30 am approximately will cover the proctor needs each day of testing.  If you can help out, please register here.

We have a member in need so we're asking that everyone comes prepared to give generously to the love offering on next Sunday.  That love offering will go to help our member.  Thank you in advance.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved
