Speaking at New Dimensions, Church Family Meeting, Global Hope India (Pastoral Emphasis for 4/19)

We are reading through the Bible as a church family this year. We're following the 52 week reading plan. We are on week 16.

In preparation for week 3 of our Romans Bible Study series, read Romans 3:21 to 5:21 as we look at Salvation & Righteousness Declared. Join us again on Wednesday at 7pm.

Minister Rasheeda Oliver, accompanied by the Praise Team, will be speaking at Union Star Original Free Will Baptist Church in Clinton, today at 3:00pm for their annual youth day service. Please pray that God would use her mightily to minister the Word at that event.

I, accompanied by the Praise Team, will be speaking at New Dimensions Fellowship Church for their 11th Anniversary celebration with Pastor Maurice Wright on Thursday, April 23rd, at 7:30pm. The service will be held at Greater Emmanuel Temple of Grace.

What does it mean that God has chosen the elect? Join us for our upcoming theological seminar on Saturday, April 25th, from 9-11:15am. Dr. Keith Whitfield, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, will be teaching on "The Doctrine of Election". Come out and learn about this important doctrine. Please register for the seminar online.

We are trying something new: our Church Family Meeting will be held following church service on next Sunday, April 26th. All members are asked to be present. If you have guests with you, we ask that if possible that they leave the sanctuary.

The next Elder-led Prayer will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, from 6-7pm. Everyone is invited to join us as we focus on specific prayer needs.

As we've seen in throughout our time in Acts, the church is to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Kevin White and Darrell Johnson from Global Hope India visited with us to tell us about opportunities for mission trips to India. Bro. Johnson shared his testimony and experience with us.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
