Fasting & Praying for Lent, Elder-led Prayer, Life Groups (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/22)

We are reading through the Bible as a church family this year. We're following the 52 week reading plan. We are on week 8.


We are in the Lent season, a 40-day period between Ash Wednesday and Easter (not counting Sundays) of prayer and fasting or abstinence. According to the Gospel accounts, Jesus spent 40 days fasting in the desert while enduring temptation from Satan. During Lent, we call everyone to fast and pray. You can decide to do a total fast of all foods or a partial fast of a particular food or activity. We are praying for personal and corporate revival in our church, and our sacrificial giving for this year.

Our next Elder-led Prayer is Tuesday, February 24th, from 6 to 7pm. Everyone is invited to join us as we focus on specific prayer needs. If you are not able to attend but have prayer requests, you can submit them online.

Join us again for Wednesday Family Worship. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm. We will be studying 1 John 2:1-14 after Praise and Worship at 7:00pm and end at 8:00pm.

This month we're doing registration for Life Groups. Life Groups is a great way to live in community and foster discipleship in a smaller group setting. For example, we have a great Life Group for men called Grace & Truth to U 4 Life.
