Pastoral Emphasis from 3/4

Congratulations to Sis. La Donna & Bro. Antonio Bethea on the birth of their son, Mason Gregory, Feb. 28th, 6 lbs., 15 oz., 18 ¾ long!

Don't forget that Daylight Savings Time change is next Sunday (3/11) so set your clock 1 hour ahead on Saturday night.

Relocation Update: Our buyer had asked for extension and we are currently negotiating on a new contract. Notice that the time between when we need to leave our current location and when the new facility is complete is shortening. If it's God's will, we desire to stay where we are until we move into our new facility. The good thing is that we have a temporary location identified and we are working through logistics (God has already worked it out that we won’t need a special use permit from the Town of Cary). Continue to pray for our transition and our negotiating with the buyer.

I encourage everyone to come out to our Bible Study series, “Know why you believe”. This series is especially relevant due to recent challenges to Christianity such as the Lost Tomb of Jesus documentary and the “Growing in Grace” movement led by a man who claims he is the second coming of Jesus Christ. Check out the video below.

Scripture has already addressed this. Jesus has already told us how He would return. Matthew 24:23-27: "At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. "

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
