Equipping Pastors Worldwide
One of the wonderful blessings we have in the West is access to theological training for pastors and church leaders. Seminaries, Bible colleges, conferences, books, and other resources provide opportunities for pastors to deepen their understanding of God's Word and strengthen their ministries.
Unfortunately, that access is not available to many pastors around the world.
As part of my work with Missions: Together, I had the privilege of being introduced to an organization called Equipping Pastors Worldwide, which works to provide theological training and resources to pastors who might otherwise have little or no access to formal theological education.
Today, I'm pleased to welcome Dave Holdt, who is visiting us from the United Kingdom, to share with us about this important global ministry.

Looking for Wednesday Night Bible Study Teachers
Do you know what your spiritual gifts are?
We've encouraged everyone to take a spiritual gifts survey. If you haven't taken one yet, this is a great time to discover how God has uniquely gifted you for ministry.
If teaching is one of your spiritual gifts, Christian Education has an opportunity for you to put that gift into practice!
Christian Education is looking for additional Wednesday Night Bible Study (WNBS) teachers for 2027. Teaching God's Word is both a privilege and a responsibility, and we want to equip those who are called and gifted to serve in this way.
If you're interested, please register using the QR code and plan to attend the Teacher Workshop on November 14.

Girl Power Summit

Black American Sign Language Event
Our Deaf Ministry is hosting a special event on Saturday, September 19, from 9:30–11:30 AM to educate Mt. Zion members and guests about the history of Black American Sign Language (BASL).
BASL developed within the Deaf community in response to racial segregation in schools for Deaf students and represents an important part of both linguistic and cultural history.
We will have a guest speaker joining us from Wilson, and we would love to see a strong showing of support from our Mt. Zion family.
Come learn, grow, and gain a greater appreciation for the history and experiences of the Deaf community.
Church-Wide Prayer Rally
Prayer remains one of the most important ways we can come together as the body of Christ.
Our next Church-Wide Prayer Rally will be Tuesday, September 15, from 7:00–8:00 PM.
Our Church's Church Ministry will be hosting, but everyone is invited to join us for this powerful hour of corporate prayer. You can submit your prayer requests online or place them in the prayer request box at the back of the sanctuary.
Let's come together, lift up our families, our church, our community, our nation, and the needs of our world before the Lord.
