Recently Joined

Please help us warmly welcome Maurice and Larryelle Greenhow, who have recently joined our church family on Christian Experience. We thank God for leading them to Mt. Zion and look forward to growing together in faith and fellowship.

Sweetheart Ball

Couples, mark your calendars! Our Sweetheart Ball will take place on Friday, February 14, from 6:00–10:00 pm. This special evening is designed to celebrate love, marriage, and togetherness.
Please be sure to register and submit payment as soon as possible, but no later than January 25.

The Village Gathering

One meaningful way we live out Christ’s command to love our neighbors is by building genuine community. We invite you to join us for The Village Gathering, a free meal and guided discussion led by NC State’s Wolfpack D.E.N. (Discussion Engagement Network)

📅 Sunday, January 18
5:30–7:30 pm
📍 First Cary UMC

This event is part of the Town of Cary’s MLK Dreamfest weekend and is a collaborative effort among churches and non-profits, including Cary First Christian Church, Ekklesia Church, First Cary UMC, and Mt. Zion Church. Come ready to listen, learn, and connect.

MLK Walk of Hope

Following that weekend, join us on Monday, January 19, at 10:00 am for the 5K Walk for Hope, sponsored by Mt. Zion Church. This walk supports the Dorcas Food Pantry, and we will be collecting non-perishable food items. It’s a great opportunity to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and compassion.

Church-Wide Prayer Rally

Finally, we invite the entire church family to our first Church-Wide Prayer Rally of the new year, hosted by the Men’s Ministry

📅 Tuesday, January 20
7:00 pm

Prayer requests may be submitted using the prayer request box at the back of the sanctuary or online. Let’s begin this year united in prayer, trusting God for guidance, healing, and renewal.

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession.
