Bereavements, New Year's Eve Service, 2026 Church Theme (Pastoral Emphasis for 12/28)

 Bereavements

We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to several members of our church family who are grieving the loss of loved ones:

  • Elder Bobby Dunn, in the passing of his father

  • Deaconess Susan Fortenberry, in the passing of her sister

  • Deaconess Peggy Credle, in the passing of her sister

  • Sister Nancy Frater, in the passing of her ex-husband and the father of her children

Please keep them lifted in prayer during this time. May God’s peace and comfort surround each of them.

Bible Translation Donation Update

We want to express sincere thanks for your generosity toward our Bible Translation Project. Through your contributions—and with the church’s matching gift—we are joyfully donating $5,648.00 to Pioneer Bible Translators, which will support the translation of 161 verses of Scripture into the heart languages of people around the world. Thank you for helping bring the Word of God to those who have yet to hear it in their own language!

New Year’s Eve Service

Mark your calendars and invite your family and friends! Our New Year’s Eve Service will begin at 10:30 PM. Together, we’ll enjoy an evening of praise and worship, testimonies, a brief word of encouragement, focused prayer, and a countdown into the New Year. Let’s start 2026 in the presence of the Lord!

2026 Church Theme:

“Making Peace, Making Disciples”

As we enter 2026, we’re embracing a powerful theme that brings together the ministry of reconciliation and the call to make disciples. Our focus will be on integrating peacemaking with the Great Commission.

We believe God is calling us to be a people who reflect Christ not only through our words but through our relationships—repairing what’s broken, sowing peace where there’s division, and forming disciples who do the same.

Let’s move into the New Year with purpose, unity, and a heart to see His Kingdom come.

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession. May God bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to the wounded, and peace to a terrified community.  Of course, a mass shooting always brings up the issue for stricter gun laws. I agree we do need good legislation and sensible gun laws because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. Ultimately, that will not solve our problem. For a country that has been ...
