December Birthdays & Anniversaries

This month we celebrate the gift of life and love in our church family. We are grateful for everyone celebrating a birthday this December, and we joyfully wish a “Happy Birthday” to you all!

We also celebrate our couples who are marking special wedding anniversaries:

  • Hilson & Shanna Sanon – celebrating 15 years on December 21

  • George & Daureen Richards – celebrating 26 years on December 18

  • Jerome & Antoinette Norton – celebrating 28 years on December 31

  • Rick & Maureen Holland – celebrating 39 years on December 26

We joyfully sing “Happy Anniversary” to all of our couples!

 

December Senior Birthday Surprise

We want to give a special shout-out to Brother James White, our December Senior Birthday honoree! We thank God for his life and faithfulness in our church family.

  

MTZ Trip to the Ark Encounter (2026)

The MTZ Singles Ministry is excited to announce a special trip to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, taking place July 27–31, 2026!

This trip will also include visits to:

  • The Creation Museum

  • The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Transportation will be provided by bus, and the trip is open to all MTZ adults and children. For registration and payment options, please see Gabriel Carr.

 

Care Ministry Senior Living Visit

 

 

Our Care Ministry will be blessing the residents of The Blair Senior Living Center (809 Chatham St., Cary) on Saturday, December 13, from 3:00–4:00 PM through songs, activities, and prayer.

Everyone is invited to join in this joyful time of ministry. If you would like to participate or have questions, please contact Sister Aretha Cooper or Sister Earlene Evans.

 

Final Bible Study of the Year

As we wrap up the year, we invite you to join us for our final Bible Study of the year as we complete our study of the Song of Solomon: The Joy and Intimacy of Covenant Love.

We especially encourage young adults, those preparing for marriage, and married couples to join us as we grow together in understanding God’s design for love and covenant.

A Joyful Announcement: Welcome Baby Eliana! We are thrilled to celebrate the birth of Eliana Corena Thompson , daughter of Lachonya and Robert Thompson. Eliana arrived on December 21st , weighing 6 lbs 2 oz and measuring 19.25 inches long.  Her beautiful name, Eliana, has a special meaning in Hebrew: “God has answered.” This precious little one is indeed an answer to countless prayers.
