December Birthdays & Anniversaries, Upcoming Service Schedule Changes, Gamer's Lounge (Pastoral Emphasis for 12/4)

Bro. Julius Brown went to be with the Lord last night. Elders Bullock, Dunn, and I had an opportunity to visit with him before his death. Please keep his widow, Sis. Doris and her family in your prayers.

Deacon Phil Blango was admitted to ICU with fluid in his lungs. He's doing much better and should be coming home today or tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to our December babies:

On 12/2, Sis. Lois Arrington celebrated her 97th birthday

Happy Anniversary to our December couples:
  • George & Daureen Richards is celebrating 23 years
  • Jerome & Antoinette Norton is celebrating 25 years
  • Rick & Maureen Holland is celebrating 36 years

Our Senior Birthday Surprise goes to Sis. Jean Strudwick.

Since Christmas falls on Sunday, we will move our service up to 8 am. For New Year's, we're having our NYE service at 10 pm and we'll have Communion after midnight. So we will NOT have service on New Year's Day.

The Youth Ministry will have a Gamer's Lounge on 12/10 from 2 to 6pm. We'll be transforming the MPR into a space with various video games for our youth to have some year-end fun.

Next Sunday, I'll be teaching and sharing in Youth Service.

Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? Natural disasters like these floods are trag...
