Total Body Fair Results, Deacon Corey "No Jacks" Smith, The Fruit of the Disciples (Pastoral Emphasis for 5/7)

Thanks to all who presented, volunteered, and participated in our first Total Body Fair yesterday. All speakers showed up and everything started and ended on time.  There was a wealth of great info available.  If you missed it, you need to definitely attend next year!



Here are the stats:
  • 1 student volunteer (my son, Isaiah) 
  • 18 presenters (some brought multiple people) on an array of topics 
  • 47 attendees 
  • Grand Total: 66 
  • Healthy snacks for refreshments
  • But MOST SIGNIFICANTLY is the fact that Sis. Karen Gray wiped the floor with Deacon Corey Smith in a game of ‘Jacks’. Not one time, not two times, but THREE times!!!

We got a lot of great comments and feedback from presenters and attendees. Many presenters want to come back. There is a quick 4 question survey at the Welcome Center for attendees to please complete and leave there.

On Wednesday, we continue our Discipleship Journey in Bible Study. We'll be looking at the fruit of a disciple. Followers of Jesus make disciples who make disciples.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.  Recently Came Forward We rejoice in sharing that Chris Walker has rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reminder that God continues to pursue His people with grace and mercy.
