Participate in God's Mission, Free Theological Seminar, My Hope (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/12)

Join us again on Wednesday at 7pm for our Bible Study series called the Journey. This Wednesday, we'll look at what does it mean to be a disciple. A part of being a disciple of Jesus is to participate in God's redemptive mission for the world.

Since disciples are called to participate in God's redemptive mission in the world, then we should be encouraged to get equipped for that mission. Join us for our upcoming Theological Seminar on Saturday, February 25th, from 9:00am to 11:30am. I will be teaching on "How to Share Your Faith & Make Disciples". Come out and get equipped to fulfill the Great Commission. Light refreshments will be served. Please register for the seminar online or use the Connections card. Free eBooks will be given to those who attend.

My Hope Outreach Sunday is 3/12. All members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to join us at church on that Sunday. During that service, we will share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. So start thinking about who you will invite to church on 3/12 and pray that they will come, hear the Gospel, and that God would save them.

Today, Sis. Laurie Anderson and Sis. Mercedes Griffin shared testimonies about how God showed His grace in their lives when during very difficult and tough times.

Responding to the Flooding, Christmas in July Food Drive, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/13)

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? If God is so good, why do we suffer with natural disasters like flooding that takes the lives of seemingly innocent people like young children? The reality is that the fault lies with us. Humanity decided to rebel against the Creator God, thereby, ushering in sin and the fall from God's perfect creation. Natural disasters happen because we live in a fallen world ravaged by sin. Natural disasters like these floods are trag...
