Homegoing Service for Juanita Hunter, Young Believers Fellowship, Fast this Week (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/19)

The Homegoing service for Sis. Juanita Hunter will take place on tomorrow (Monday) at 11:00 AM with visitation preceding the service at 10:30 AM. Interment takes place at Carolina Biblical Gardens. A public viewing will be held today at Haywood Funeral Home from 3-8 PM.

Please pray for Bro. Charlie Pritchett who lost his brother last week. The memorial service will be held in Michigan this week.

Join us again on Wednesday at 7pm for our Bible Study series called the Journey. This Wednesday, we'll look at defining discipleship. To live as a disciple of Jesus includes embracing a lifestyle of discipleship.

Our College/Young Adult Ministry will have a fellowship of young believers on Friday, 2/24, at 7pm. Open to ages 18-26. Please see Deaconesses Tracy Dunn or Shebbie Coppage to RSVP and get the location of the fellowship.

There are many reasons why Christians do not share their faith or make disciples. A couple of the biggest reasons given are that they don’t know how or don’t feel qualified. Join us for our upcoming theological seminar on Saturday, February 25th, from 9:00am to 11:30am. I will be teaching on
"How to Share Your Faith & Make Disciples". Come out and get equipped to fulfill the Great Commission. Light refreshments will be served. Please register for the seminar online. Free eBooks will be given to those who attend.

We are having MyHope Outreach Sunday where all of our members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to join us at church on 3/12. During that service, we will share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. In your bulletin you have a commitment card where you can write the name(s) of those you will invite. We'll be collecting those commitment cards on 3/5 so we can pray for these individuals.

Sis. Barbara Gibbons shared her testimony of how God was faithful and kept her throughout her life as she faced an alcoholic first husband, divorce, a troubled son, the death of her husband, Deacon Gibbons.

I'm calling for a church-wide fast this week for Bro. Derrick Wiggins and the Oliver family.  Please give up at least one meal a day (more if you desire) and let's fast and pray for Bro. Derrick's trial that God would show mercy and move in the hearts of the judge, jury, and lawyers.

Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.   ---     Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’   This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.   --- History of the Vision         Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has ...

My Hope Sunday, M:T Not a Competition, Prayer Gathering (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/13)

Today was My Hope Sunday ! We had several invited guests, and my message was from 1 Samuel 8:4-9 on "Looking for a Savior".  Israel wanted a king like the other nations who would “save” them. This is the very definition of a functional savior. A functional savior is anything or anyone a person looks to for ultimate hope, security, identity, or fulfillment in place of God. Whatever you look to to “save” you from your problems, fears, or insecurities is your functional savior. But all of our functional saviors cannot save us. Jesus is the Savior we really need!  Our greatest need in this life and the life to come is to have our sins forgiven by trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior! Today, my wife shared her My Hope Testimony .   (RSS Subscribers: click here to watch the video) Missions:Together’s "Not a Competition" is a powerful missions gathering designed to re-ignite your passion for missions on Saturday, November 2, hosted at The Summit Church in Apex.
