Sickness & Bereavement, FREE Theological Seminar, Ecuador Testimonies (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/9)

Please pray for Evangelist Barry Singleton who is currently in the hospital, Minister Jacquelyn Harrison whose sister-in-law passed recently, and Sis. Mercedes Griffin whose step daughter passed yesterday.

We are reading through the Bible as a church family this year. We're following the 52 week reading plan. We are on week 32.

The Fall Spruce UP is 8/29 from 9am to 12pm. Come out and help clean our church for our upcoming anniversary activities.


I'm happy to announce that Dr. Keith Whitfield from SEBTS is returning to finish teaching on "The Doctrine of Election" for our next FREE Theological Seminar on Saturday, 8/22, from 9:00am to 11:15am. What does it mean that God has chosen the elect? Is God unjust not to elect everyone? Come out and learn more about this important doctrine. Light refreshments will be served. Please register for the seminar online.

Minister Matt Darby, Bro. Jae Smith, Sis. Brittany Hardy, and Sis. Esther Nissao (from Cary COG) shared their testimonies of what God did during their recent missions trip to Ecuador.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.
