Fall Spruce Up results, Anniversary Shout Out, LifeGroup Fair (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/30)

We are reading through the Bible as a church family this year. We're following the 52 week reading plan. We are on week 35.

Here are yesterday's Fall Spruce UP results:

19 total attendees 
  • Leadership  - 11 
  • Members - 6 
  • Guests - 2 
    Zone breakdown 
    • Zone 4 - 4 members 
    • Zone 3 - 2 members 
    • Zone 2 - 5 members 
    • Zone 1 - 8 members 
    We worked a total of 54.5. The shortest being 1.35 hours and the longest being 6.5 hours.
    We saved the church $817.50 by cleaning the church ourselves.

    Bro. Louis Eldridge gave our Anniversary Shout Out.  It's almost time for our 150th anniversary events and activities.  Check out the church calendar so you don't miss anything on 9/12, 16, 18-20.



    There was a C3 LifeGroup Fair immediately following the service today. People were able to get information about the various LifeGroups available as well as play the LifeGroup Leader questions game. Congrats to Sis. Nadiyah Moore for winning the game and the sweet prize!


    Due to the Labor Day weekend, we'll be having Communion on the second Sunday in September.

    Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

      Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.     July Birthdays & Anniversaries, Summer Bible Study Series, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/5)

     Recently Came Forward We rejoice in sharing that Chris Walker has rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reminder that God continues to pursue His people with grace and mercy.
