Prayer Rally 2014, Project Freedom's "The Cost of Salvation", Partnering with Brown Bag Ministry (Pastoral Emphasis for 9/28)

If you missed our Fall Renewal Service on Friday, then you missed not a treat but a FEAST! Pastor Jerome Gay gave an excellent message about "A Renewed Direction" from Ruth 1:1-5. You need to order a CD or DVD of it or go to our online archive and watch it.

Join us on Wednesday at 7pm as we conclude our 3-week Bible Study series, "Exploring the Holy Spirit". We'll finish looking at the work of the Holy Spirit.

The area-wide Prayer Rally 2014 is just a little over a week away on Tuesday, October 7th at 7pm at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. We still have seats available from our pool of 24 reserved seats so sign up today online.  If you have questions, check with Sis. Tammy Larkin, our coordinator for the prayer rally.

Mark your calendar because you will not want to miss Project Freedom's "The Cost of Salvation" on Saturday, October 11th, at 4:00pm at Mt. Zion.  The primary purpose of this event is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Performance Art.  Secondarily, this is a fundraiser for Mt. Zion to help us in our endeavor to make disciples by purchasing a church van.  So your generous donations are appreciated.

Since part of our vision is to serve the community, we want to equip and train our children to serve others.  Our Children's Ministry will be partnering with the Brown Bag Ministry on Saturday morning, 10/4, to prepare and serve bag lunches to the homeless in Raleigh.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved
