Break the Crazy Cycle, Youth Car Wash (Pastoral Emphasis from 6/22)

We had an excellent VBS last week. Great job by all involved (planners, hospitality, teachers and assistants). And the the tailgate celebration was a great success. The rain held off until we were completely done. Mt. Zion truly have some great cooks. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as judge of the cook-off. Talk about hard work!

The New Believers class has started. The class teaches the fundamentals of our Christian faith. If you missed the first class, you can still sign-up at the Welcome Center and jump in on the second class on Sunday.

I will be speaking on the subject of "Breaking the Crazy Cycle" at the upcoming Couples Café on Friday at 7pm. I encourage every married or soon-to-be married couple to attend.

The Youth Ministry is having its Annual Car Wash at the old church location at 8500 Chapel Hill Road on Sat., June 28th. Please come out and support our youth.

Next Sunday, we’re having our Contemporary Youth service at 4pm. Everyone is invited to attend.

If only I had known earlier. After going 8 months without washing my car I decided to do it today during lunch. The youth should have a fun time none the less.

We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
