Homegoing Service for Taquez Locklear
We invite the Mt. Zion family to continue praying for the Locklear family as they grieve the passing of Taquez Locklear, who grew up in our church family.
Taquez's Homegoing Service will be held here at Mt. Zion Church on Tuesday, August 11.

- Funeral Service: 12:00 PM
Let us surround the Locklear family with our prayers, presence, and love as we remember Taquez and seek God's comfort during this difficult season.
Youth Choir Rehearsal
Parents, we need your help in encouraging our young people to participate in the ministry of the Youth Choir!
There will be a Youth Choir Rehearsal on Saturday, August 22, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.
Your support is important as we encourage our youth to use their gifts to glorify God and serve the church. Please make plans to have your young people participate.

Rock Solid Marriage Seminar
Married couples, don't miss our upcoming Rock Solid Marriage Seminar: "Marriage on the Rock" on Saturday, August 15, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
This seminar is designed to encourage and equip couples to build marriages that are firmly grounded in Christ. Together, we'll explore:
- Practical biblical teaching
- Breakout sessions on communication and intimacy
- An encouraging panel discussion featuring married couples
- Fellowship and refreshments
Whether you've been married for a few months or many years, there's something for you. We want to help couples strengthen their relationships and pursue marriages that honor God.

New Sermon Series
Next Sunday, we begin a new sermon series through the book of Philemon titled "Reconciliation in Christ."
Although Philemon is one of the shortest books in the Bible, it addresses a profound and practical truth about the gospel: because we have been reconciled to God through Christ, we can be reconciled to one another.
Paul's letter challenges us to see one another not according to our social position, background, history, or circumstances, but through the transforming work of Christ.
As we explore this short but powerful letter, we'll consider what reconciliation looks like in our relationships and how the gospel changes the way we view, forgive, welcome, and restore one another.
I encourage you to read through Philemon before next Sunday and come ready to discover what God has to say to us about Reconciliation in Christ.
