Bereavement, NeighborUp Food Drive, Easter Weekend (Pastoral Emphasis for 3/29)

Bereavement

Please keep Sister Regina Hardaway and her family in your prayers as they grieve the loss of her brother, Craig Johnson.

The homegoing services will be held on Saturday, April 11, in Florida. Let us lift the family up in prayer for comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time.

NeighborUp Easter Food Drive

Mt. Zion is partnering with other local churches to support NeighborUp for its Annual Easter Food Drive.

Donations will be collected throughout the month of April. A list of needed items is available at the Welcome Center. Any contribution—large or small—is greatly appreciated and will directly bless families in our community.

We will have multiple drives happening over the spring season, so please be led by the Spirit on how and when to give. Your generosity makes a difference.

Easter Weekend at Mt. Zion

Next weekend is our Easter Weekend celebration, and we invite you to participate in each opportunity to reflect and rejoice.

Good Friday Service

🗓 Friday
6:30 – 7:30 PM
Join us for a special time of worship as we remember the sacrifice of Christ and the depth of His love displayed on the cross.

Community Egg Hunt

🗓 Saturday
1:00 PM

Bring the kids out for a fun-filled afternoon of hunting eggs and hearing the true meaning of Easter—that we celebrate Jesus! We will have over 1,300 eggs and food available.

Please don’t be late! Our children are expert egg hunters and tend to find the eggs very quickly. We don’t want anyone to miss out because they arrived 10 or 15 minutes after the start time.

Invite your friends, neighbors, and the surrounding community to join us for this joyful outreach event.

Easter Sunrise Service

🗓 Easter Sunday
6:00 AM

We will gather early to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Communion will be served during this special service.

Please note:

  • This will be our ONLY service on Easter Sunday.
  • There will be no Foundation Fellowship.
  • There will be no 10:00 AM service.

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession. May God bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to the wounded, and peace to a terrified community.  Of course, a mass shooting always brings up the issue for stricter gun laws. I agree we do need good legislation and sensible gun laws because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. Ultimately, that will not solve our problem. For a country that has been ...
