ππ½ Prayer Request
Let’s continue to keep Sister Ruby Franklin in our prayers. She is currently home recovering from a serious surgery she underwent a few weeks ago. We’re grateful that her son and daughter-in-law are in town to care for her during this time. Please join us in praying for her complete healing, renewed strength, and encouragement in the days ahead. God is faithful!
ππ½ Welcome New Members
We are thrilled to welcome Quincy and Udobi Campbell and their two daughters to our church family! They have completed both the New Members Orientation (NMO) and New Membership Interview, and we are so excited to walk with them as they grow in faith and fellowship. Make sure to greet them warmly when you see them!
π Book Announcement: “God’s Final Word”
I’m super excited to share some personal news: my first book is being published! It’s titled “God’s Final Word: Understanding The Church’s Victory in Christ Through Revelation” and is set to release toward the end of June. I’ll share more details as we get closer to launch day. I would love for everyone to purchase a copy—(I do have one last child to get through college π)! Thank you all for your support and prayers throughout this journey.
πΊπΈ Memorial Day – A Time to Remember
Memorial Day is tomorrow, and while it’s a time often spent with family, friends, and cookouts, let’s not forget its true purpose. Memorial Day is a moment to honor and reflect on the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
We are deeply grateful for their sacrifice and the freedom we enjoy because of it. Let’s lift up their families in prayer and commit to living in a way that honors their legacy.
Have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day!
π Mental Health Awareness Month
As May draws to a close, we want to highlight the importance of Mental Health Awareness. This year, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has chosen the theme: “In Every Story, There’s Strength.”
Every mental health journey is different, but one thing remains the same—there is strength in the struggle and hope in the healing. This theme shines a light on the resilience, courage, and diverse experiences that shape the mental health journeys of so many in our community.
There is power in sharing our stories. Each testimony encourages connection, promotes understanding, and inspires hope. Most importantly, it reminds us that recovery is possible—and that God’s grace is available to all of us.
I invite you to watch a powerful video testimony by Adriene Hankerson, sharing her journey and the strength she found through faith and support. Let it be a reminder that you are never alone, and healing is always within reach.
