Welcome New Member, Mental Health Resources, Church-Wide Prayer Rally (Pastoral Emphasis for 5/18)

Welcome to Our New Members!

We welcome Victor Lindsey into our church family! Victor has completed both the New Members Orientation (NMO) and his membership interview, and we look forward to seeing how God will continue to use and bless him in our congregation. Let’s continue to surround him with love, support, and encouragement as he takes this next step in his faith journey.

Mental Health Awareness: Breaking the Stigma in the Church

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to take this opportunity to highlight an important truth: it’s okay to not be okay.

Too often, mental health struggles go unspoken in the church, but we believe it’s time to break the stigma. God, in His common grace, has provided us with incredible resources—both spiritual and practical—to help us walk through mental health challenges with hope and healing.

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Here at our church, we are blessed to have individuals who are ready and willing to help. Deaconess Tasha Smith and Minister Rasheeda Oliver are available to support, encourage, and connect you with resources to guide you on the path to wellness. Whether it's listening, praying, sharing resources, or helping someone find professional support, we can all play a role in bringing light into dark places.

Let’s be a church that doesn’t shy away from these conversations, but instead becomes a place of healing, understanding, and hope.

Church-Wide Prayer Rally

Mark your calendars! Our next Church-Wide Prayer Rally is coming up on Tuesday, May 20, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, hosted by the Titus 2 Women’s Ministry.

This is a powerful time for us to come together as a unified body, lifting our voices in prayer and seeking God’s direction and presence in every area of our lives. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

If you have specific prayer requests, you can submit them online or place them in the prayer request box located at the back of the sanctuary.

Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.   ---     Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’   This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.   --- History of the Vision         Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has ...

Responding to the Flooding, Christmas in July Food Drive, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/13)

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? If God is so good, why do we suffer with natural disasters like flooding that takes the lives of seemingly innocent people like young children? The reality is that the fault lies with us. Humanity decided to rebel against the Creator God, thereby, ushering in sin and the fall from God's perfect creation. Natural disasters happen because we live in a fallen world ravaged by sin. Natural disasters like these floods are trag...
