Pulpit Swap, New Sister in Christ, Single Moms Life Group (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/9)

Pulpit Swap

Today was a special Sunday as we participated in a Pulpit Swap, welcoming Pastor Mark Knetsch from Resurrection Life Church to share God’s Word with us. His message, titled “New Life”, was based on Ephesians 4:16-24 and reminded us of the transformation we experience in Christ. As believers, we are called to put off the old self and walk in the newness of life that comes through Jesus. What a powerful encouragement to live each day as a reflection of His grace!

Celebrating a New Sister in Christ

We rejoice with Sherhonda Rhodes, who has recently joined Mt. Zion and, more importantly, placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior! Let’s continue to pray for her and extend a warm welcome as she begins her journey of faith with us.

New Life Group for Single Moms

We are excited to announce a brand-new Life Group designed to support single moms in our church community! Whether you are raising young children or have older, adult children, this group is for you.

🔹 If you’re a single mom with young children, this is a place to find encouragement and community.
🔹 If you’re a single mom with older or adult children, we need your wisdom and experience to help disciple and support younger moms.

đź“… Mark your calendars for a Meet & Greet on March 8 at 11 AM—more details to come!
For any questions, please see Sis. Janae Branch.

Upcoming Church-Wide Prayer Rally

Join us for a powerful night of prayer and intercession at our next Church-Wide Prayer Rally on February 18 at 7 PM. This event will be led by our Singles Ministry, but everyone is encouraged to attend. Let’s come together as a church family to seek God’s presence and lift up our needs before Him.

đź’¬ Submit your prayer requests online or drop them in the prayer box at the back of the sanctuary.

Responding to the Flooding, Christmas in July Food Drive, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/13)

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? If God is so good, why do we suffer with natural disasters like flooding that takes the lives of seemingly innocent people like young children? The reality is that the fault lies with us. Humanity decided to rebel against the Creator God, thereby, ushering in sin and the fall from God's perfect creation. Natural disasters happen because we live in a fallen world ravaged by sin. Natural disasters like these floods are trag...
