My Hope Sunday, Single Moms Life Group, Watoto Concert (Pastoral Emphasis for 2/23)

Bereavement: Lifting Up Our Brothers and Sisters in Prayer

We extend our deepest sympathies to:

  • Deacon Rufus Credle on the recent passing of his father and stepmother. May God’s peace and comfort surround him during this difficult time.

  • Shenithia Griffin, as she mourns the passing of her mother and our dear sister, Norma Winston.

    • A Celebration of Life service for Sister Norma Winston will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM here at Mt. Zion.
    • There will be a Visitation with the family from 12:00 - 1:00 PM before the service.

Let us continue to lift these families in prayer, offering them love, encouragement, and support.

EQUIP Conference – March 14-15

Registration is now open for this year’s EQUIP Conference! Our theme, COMMITMENT, will challenge us to grow in our faith in all areas of life—marriage and singleness, the workplace, and even in life’s trials.

🔹 This conference is open to everyone, so invite your friends and family! Let’s come together to strengthen our walk with the Lord.

My Hope Sunday – March 9

Who are you inviting? My Hope Sunday is a special service where we commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to hear about the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ.

📅 March 9 | 10 AM | In-person & Online

How can you get involved?
Fill out a commitment card with the names of those you plan to invite. Cards are available at the Welcome Center and from ushers. We’ll collect them next Sunday, March 3, so we can pray over each name.
Share your story! Testimonial cards are also available at the Welcome Center. If you’d like to share your My Hope testimony, fill out a card, and a team member will reach out to you.

Now more than ever, people need true hope. Let’s step out in faith and invite others!

Single Moms Life Group Meet & Greet – March 8

Calling all single moms! 💕 Join us for a special Meet & Greet on March 8 from 11 AM to 2 PM. This will be a wonderful opportunity to build a supportive and encouraging community.

📢 RSVP with Sis. Janae Branch by March 1 so we can plan accordingly.

Watoto Children's Choir Concert – March 18 | 7 PM

We are honored to host the Watoto Children's Choir as part of their “Better Days – There is Hope” tour. This powerful evening of worship and music will inspire and support the ministry of Watoto, which cares for vulnerable children and women in Africa.

🏡 We Need Host Homes! We need 7 homes to host 1 adult and 1-2 children each. Hosts will provide breakfast and a bagged lunch.

Interested in hosting? See Bro. Spence Martin for details. Let’s extend our hospitality and make this a memorable experience for these children.

Farewell to Sis. Angela Perry

This Sunday marks the last service for Sis. Angela Perry before she moves back to Savannah, Georgia.

Sis. Angela, you are a cherished part of the Mt. Zion family, and we will miss you dearly. May God bless you in this new season of life!

Snacks from the Singles Ministry

🍪 After today’s service, stop by the snack table provided by the Singles Ministry! There will be some treats for everyone, but please note that the bagged items are reserved for Singles (first come, first serve).

A big thank you to the Singles Ministry for their generosity! We appreciate your kindness.

Responding to the Flooding, Christmas in July Food Drive, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/13)

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? If God is so good, why do we suffer with natural disasters like flooding that takes the lives of seemingly innocent people like young children? The reality is that the fault lies with us. Humanity decided to rebel against the Creator God, thereby, ushering in sin and the fall from God's perfect creation. Natural disasters happen because we live in a fallen world ravaged by sin. Natural disasters like these floods are trag...
