From the Womb to the Tomb Video, Prayer Rally, Jesus is Better (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/16)

It was a pleasure and privilege to preach at Vision Church today for their 12th Church Anniversary. I preached "God Has Made Us Rejoice" from Nehemiah 12:31-43. You can catch my sermon here. 

While I was away, Minister Matt Darby preached at Mt. Zion on "Knowing God’s Voice" from John 12:27-37.

Thanks to all who attended the panel discussion, From the Womb to the Tomb, yesterday. It was a great discussion. If you missed it, the video is available on our YouTube channel. 

Our next Prayer Rally will be Tuesday, 10/18, from 7 to 8pm. Our Youth Ministry will be hosting the rally and it will be at the church in the sanctuary as well as on Webex. Join us for a time of corporate prayer. If you can't make it, you can submit your prayer request online. 

Next Sunday, we start a new sermon series in the book of Hebrews called “Jesus is Better". Please read chapters 1-2 in preparation.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion.
