Virtual Winter Game Night, Church's Mission, Prayer Rally (Pastoral Emphasis for 1/10)



Join us for our next Virtual Game Night on Saturday, January 16th, at 6 pm. We are going to play a virtual version of the word game Scattergories. The deadline to register on Realm is TODAY. 


The mob violence that happened at the Capitol last week is just another reason for the church to be about her mission. Human depravity was on full display. This is why our purpose to worship Christ, spread the Gospel, and serve the community is vitally important. The hope for our nation is not politics or the government but Jesus Christ. The church must not let current events distract us from our mission of making disciples.

And a part of the church's mission includes prayer. The church is to be the Lord's house of prayer. So mark your calendar for our first Virtual Prayer Rally on the 19th at 7pm ET on WebEx.  If you can't make it, you can submit your prayer requests online. Join us for an hour of prayer.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.
