Fall Spruce Up, My Hope Sunday, Sabbatical (Pastoral Emphasis for 9/29)

Today, we had a joint service with New Life Ministries of Apex. We had a wonderful time worshipping with Pastor Daryl Cody and the rest of the NLM family.

We still have some tickets left for the Prayer Rally 2019 that's happening on Tuesday, October 1st at 7pm in Raleigh. Prayer 2019 is an area-wide gathering with over 100 churches participating across denominations and ethnic groups for a night of prayer. They are also asking people to bring non-perishable goods to be donated to With Love From Jesus for distribution to those in need. Please coordinate with Sis. Sandra Broadwater to get your ticket.

All are welcome to our 2019 Fall Spruce UP on Saturday, October 5th, from 9:00am -12:00pm. Come out and let's clean God’s house.

My Hope Sunday will be October 13. All of our members are asked to commit to inviting at least one unbeliever or unchurched person to join us at church on My Hope Sunday. During that service, we will share the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We have commitment cards today where you can write down the name(s) of those you are committed to inviting. We will collect the commitment cards on 10/6. Now's the time to start inviting them to My Hope Sunday.

In preparation for My Hope, Sis. Peggy Credle will be sharing her testimony about how God reconciled some issues in her family because she waited on Him.

I will be on sabbatical during the month of October to get some much needed rest, more time in prayer, and time to visit my mother in Michigan.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
