Dorian Aftermath, Free Outdoor Movie Event (Pastoral Emphasis for 9/8)

Be in prayer for those affected by Hurricane Dorian especially the Bahamas which has been absolutely devastated. At least 43 people have been killed and nearly 70,000 people are believed to be homeless. We'll be looking to see how we can help in the near future so stay tuned.

We're having a FREE Outdoor Movie event on September 27 at 7 pm. We'll be showing the movie "Breakthrough".

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets to join us at Mt. Zion for some family fun! Enjoy popcorn, drinks, and snacks while we view the movie on a large, outdoor movie screen. 

This is a great opportunity to build relationships with non-believers and introduce them to our church family. So invite family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers, especially those who are non-believers, to join us for a fun night.

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession. May God bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to the wounded, and peace to a terrified community.  Of course, a mass shooting always brings up the issue for stricter gun laws. I agree we do need good legislation and sensible gun laws because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. Ultimately, that will not solve our problem.
