The Days Are Evil, Congrats to Newlyweds, New Church Website (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/17)

If you haven't noticed, we are living in very interesting times. After the tragic shootings in our country, some terrorist drove a truck into a crowd in Nice, France killing dozens of people (including children) and there was a military coup attempt in Turkey resulting in at least 161 people dead and another 1,440 people injured across. And then I found out after church that there has been another shooting in Baton Rouge where police officers were shot and injured and three killed. It's time for the church to pray, worship and fellowship (encourage one another as the days are evil), spread the Gospel, and actively get involved in our communities.

Congrats to newlyweds, Bobby & Tracy Dunn who were married yesterday! May God bless their union so that it truly reflects the relationship between Christ and His bride, the church.

We launched our new church website this weekend! Have you seen it? It's a more modern design and it's mobile and tablet friendly. A big thank you to our webmaster, Minister Matt Darby, and Sis. Tracy Dunn for managing and coordinating the project. They worked with the web development company, Massive Motives, which is owned and operated by our own, Bro. Jamaal Porter. So if you need any web development, hosting, branding, photography, and more, please check out Massive Motives.

Mark your calendar for our next Church Family Meeting on Sunday, 7/31, right after the church service.

Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.   ---     Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’   This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.   --- History of the Vision         Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has ...
