Church Family Meeting, Elder-led Prayer, Go Vote (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/26)

All members are asked to attend our Church Family Meeting tomorrow (Monday) at 7:00pm. We have an important update on where we are financially as well as things we need to be aware of in our currently changing culture that's increasingly hostile towards Christianity.

The next Elder-led Prayer will be held on Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Everyone is invited to join us as we pray together. If you can't attend you can submit prayer requests online.

It's time again to SPRUCE UP our church. Join us on Saturday, November 1 for our Fall SPRUCE UP as we clean God's house. Let's be good stewards with the building that God has blessed us with.  We will begin at 9:00am and end at 12:00pm promptly. All are invited.

I want to encourage everyone to vote in the upcoming election. People govern based on their worldview. The laws of a nation will determine the direction of the nation. So we need Christians to vote based on biblical principles and worldview. Get informed on the candidates and vote. We have some voter's guides available at the Welcome Center to help aide in your research of the candidates.

So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
