Back to School Supply Drive, MZ Family Night at PDQ, Pray for Ecuador Missionaries (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/6)

We have started a Back to School Supply Drive collecting school supplies and toiletries until August 2nd. The collected supplies will benefit West Cary Middle School, the Home for Children in Oxford, and the Raleigh Rescue Mission. This is one of the ways we can serve our community.

On July 7th & 14th, PDQ Restaurant in Cary will have Mt. Zion's Family Dinner Night where 10% of all sales between the hours of 5:00pm to 9:00 pm will be donated to Mt. Zion to assist with our upcoming Back to School event. Please see Deacon & Deaconess Spivey for more details.

Last week, we had a good start to our Bible Study series on Hebrews.  Join us on Wednesday at 7pm as we continue our study.

Next weekend, a team from Mt. Zion will join others from Cary COG and other churches on a mission trip to Ecuador.  We prayed for our team and all those who are going.  Please continue to pray for their safe travel and fruitful time of ministry that the Gospel will be spread and many will be saved.

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession. May God bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to the wounded, and peace to a terrified community.  Of course, a mass shooting always brings up the issue for stricter gun laws. I agree we do need good legislation and sensible gun laws because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. Ultimately, that will not solve our problem. For a country that has been ...
