PRAISE REPORT, Faulty Doctrine, Initial Sermon,Moore Tornado Relief (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/2)

PRAISE REPORT: We closed on refinancing our loan with a different bank! We had a couple of hiccups along the way (with the appraisal amount and would the bank cover the full amount we needed) but God is gracious and faithful to us! Soli Deo Gloria!

Today's reading from the Chronological Reading Plan: Song of Solomon 1-8

We're currently going through 2 Timothy. As we've seen, one of the themes in this letter is enduring against false teachers in the church. False and faulty doctrine must be avoided!

VBS is next week, 6/10-14. Make sure that you and your family are registered for a great time of learning and fun. You can register online.

Next Sunday is our annual Children's Day. We will also be recognizing the High School graduates. Our children and youth will be actively participating in the service. And I will be finishing up our series in 2 Timothy as well.

I'm happy to announce that Deacon Matthew Darby will deliver his Initial Sermon on next Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm. Everyone is invited to join us for this special occasion!

Today we will be giving to help those in Moore, OK who were affected by recent tornado. Check out this video from the ministry we will be donating to.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.
