Pastoral Emphasis from 9/23

I encourage everyone to vote in upcoming November elections: Most Cary residents will be able to vote for at least two of the candidates--the mayor and an at large representative. Others will be able to vote for three, depending on their district--B or D. Mt. Zion is in district B. If you missed the deadline for voter registration, you may register and vote during One-Stop Absentee Voting. More details on Community Connection section of website.

Don't forget that our Sacrificial Giving Campaign ends at the end of November. Thank you for your faithful giving and fulfillment of your vows to God.

Countdown to Transition: Our very last service is next Sunday at 4pm. The Building Dedication/Open House is Oct. 6 from 10am to 12pm. The first service at our new location (316 Allen Lewis Drive) is Oct. 7 (Sunday School at 8:30am and Worship Service at 9:45am)

Pray21 Week 2 Review: This week should have helped you understand that God values us. Every Christ-follower is safe and completely acceptable because we're forgiven and God now sees us the way He sees Jesus. We belong to an eternal home in heaven and we belong in God's family on earth. Because we belong to God, you can get rid of feelings of shame, worthlessness, and abandonment.

So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved

The Bible declares that all life is valuable. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well" (Psalm 139:13-14). Here's the story of one life saved....
