Bereavement, Theological Seminar, Church Family Meeting (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/21)

Bereavement: Please continue to pray for the family of Philip Jackson (the grandson of Sis. Sarah Payne & nephew of Sis. Jennifer Allen) as they grieve his tragic death. Philip was 26. Let's surround the family with our love, compassion, and support.

Do you believe it’s your responsibility to make disciples? All Christians have the duty and delight to make disciples. Disciple-making is a joy-filled, intentional, relationship that encompasses both evangelism and discipleship. Evangelism is the proclamation of the Gospel with the aim to persuade. Discipleship is the ongoing journey of becoming more like Jesus and helping others do the same. Join us for our upcoming Theological Seminar on Saturday, July 27th, at 9:00 am where Josh Reed from NC Baptists will be teaching on "Evangelism and Discipleship". You can register online.

All members are asked to stay after the service on next Sunday, 7/28, for our Church Family Meeting on Sunday.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.
