Thanks to all who came out to Back to School Conference! A lot of great information was given and we prayed over our children for another successful school year. We still have some great info available on Wake County schools for parents at the Welcome Center.

Attention, All Youth (13-17) and Young Adults (18 and up): The Youth Ministry is sponsoring an outreach opportunity with Dorcas Thrift Shop (Cary) on Saturday, August 9th, from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Minister Matt Darby shared his testimony about Ecuador. He reminded us to not just look for the miraculous, external things as a sign of God working. God is working even when it doesn't appear that way. We are to be faithful and do what God has called us to do and leave the results to God.

1 Corinthians 3:5-8 (ESV): "What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor."

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame.
