Initial Sermon, International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (Pastoral Emphasis for 11/13)

Radical Experiment 2011 Update
  • Today's Scripture Reading: Acts 1-3 
  • Today's Country: Switzerland 
  • Spend time in another context: Give some of your time to help make the gospel known outside of your normal context (different community, city, nation).
 Thank everyone who went with us to C.A. Dillon. Your presence was greatly appreciated. We ended up only have about 30 minutes for the service but the Gospel was proclaimed and we did get a chance to pray with many of the boys.

Sis. Samantha Hanebeck will deliver her Initial Sermon on next Sunday at 4:00pm. Everyone is invited to join us for this special occasion.

In recognition of Veterans Day on last Friday, we want to thank all who have served our country.

Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Please watch this video and then pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering for the faith.

We are asking all members to sacrifice to give at least 5% more until the end of the year to help with our budget deficient. If you are able to give more, please do so. As always, we appreciate your generous giving.

Youth Sunday, J. Allen Lewis Scholarship Winners, A Word to Our Graduates (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/14)

  Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance. We are also grateful for the impact of the Delta Academy and GEM programs , which have been meeting at Mt. Zion. We appreciate the investment these programs make in developing and encouraging young people, and we thank Ms. Daniel and Ms. Owens for their leadership and partnership. J.  Recently Came Forward We rejoice in sharing that Chris Walker has rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reminder that God continues to pursue His people with grace and mercy.
