Proctors Needed at WCM; Pastor John from Uganda (Pastoral Emphasis from 4/25)

Don't forget that our Church Family Meeting is tomorrow (Monday) at 7:00pm. All members are asked to be present.

Mt. Zion, along with a few other local churches, has adopted West Cary Middle. They are asking for our help with proctoring End-of-Grade (EOG) exams. In the first 3 days of the EOGs, they need 65 proctors each day. If you are interested, pick up a flyer with details at the Welcome Center or email me and I'll send you the flyer.

We had a special guest with us today, Pastor John from Uganda. He shared with us about his ministry in Africa:

1. Church Planting (By His Grace we have planted 5 Bush Churches which are growing rapidly spiritually and numerically. We have answered The Great Commission Call and continue planting more Matthew 28:19,20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.)

2.Discipleship Ministry (Vibrant teaching of the Word to mature the saints in the Lord Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles ,some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of Ministry, for edifying of the body of Christ.13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God ,to a perfect man..................

3.Bible School of Life( Uganda).(We graduated and Ordained 16 Men and Women last year in December.Hope you received the pictures. This year we are training 32 Students who will graduate at the end of this year, God willing. 2 Tim 2:2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.)

4.Orphanage Ministry (By Gods Grace we are supporting 92 Orphans to attend School and their general welfare James 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this :to visit Orphans and widows in their trouble and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. )

5.Piety Christian Primary School (The beginning of 2010 this School was started at one of our Churches with 52 kids.Every year it will be growing.Prov 22:6 Train up a child in the way and when he is old he will not depart from it .)
Families can easily be reached through there Children who attend our School.
This a powerful evangelism strategy.

6. Farm Project (Ephesians 4:28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need)

This will take off soon in the Lord's Name.
By Gods Grace and your fervent prayers it will take off soon
Pray that God provides the 300 acres of land and the tractor to tend the land.
We also need a Corn pressing Machine to extract oil fro the corn grown on our Church Project Farm
Also a Maize processing machine for Corn flour.
Corn is our staple food and porridge.
This will be an income generating project to help the spread of the gospel, feeding the many Orphans and needy.
God has blessed our country with fertile land, good for Agriculture.
Even our Pastors who have no incomes from our rural Churches(Because our congregation are basically subsistence farmers). They will have a steady income to enable them to concentrate on the Ministry Acts 6:4 ..we will give our self continually to prayer and the Ministry of the Word.
We are trusting God to have live stock on this Farm ie Poultry,Chicken and Piggery.

Without your support our efforts would be in vain.

Pray and see what the Lord would like you to be involved in the above Ministries.

We are believing God for more workers.
Please visit us in Uganda and labour with us.
Spread the word to Churches,
individuals, families and agencies to send workers to come and Minister in their Godly given gifts and graces.
We need short mission trips and long term volunteers.

Again thanks for supporting this Ministry. Hebrews 6:10: "For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His Name,in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister."

Mortgage Burning Ceremony (10.6.24)

Today is a day of celebration and gratitude as we come together to witness the burning of our church’s mortgage! This moment represents years of faith, commitment, and sacrificial giving from this congregation. It’s a testament to God’s faithfulness and the dedication of His people. What we are celebrating today is not just the end of a financial obligation, but the beginning of new possibilities for missions, outreach, and service in our community.   ---     Psalm 127:1 says, ‘Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’   This building has been more than just bricks and mortar; it has been a spiritual home where so many lives have been touched by the gospel. We recognize that while we’ve paid off the mortgage, it is the Lord who has truly built this house, sustaining us through every season.   --- History of the Vision         Though this chapter is closing, the mission God has ...

My Hope Sunday, M:T Not a Competition, Prayer Gathering (Pastoral Emphasis for 10/13)

Today was My Hope Sunday ! We had several invited guests, and my message was from 1 Samuel 8:4-9 on "Looking for a Savior".  Israel wanted a king like the other nations who would “save” them. This is the very definition of a functional savior. A functional savior is anything or anyone a person looks to for ultimate hope, security, identity, or fulfillment in place of God. Whatever you look to to “save” you from your problems, fears, or insecurities is your functional savior. But all of our functional saviors cannot save us. Jesus is the Savior we really need!  Our greatest need in this life and the life to come is to have our sins forgiven by trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior! Today, my wife shared her My Hope Testimony .   (RSS Subscribers: click here to watch the video) Missions:Together’s "Not a Competition" is a powerful missions gathering designed to re-ignite your passion for missions on Saturday, November 2, hosted at The Summit Church in Apex.
