There is no TRUE change apart from God

We are in the midst of history as the first African-American is elected president of the U.S. As believers we must pray for Obama and our other elected leaders. We cannot ignore the fact that Obama's views on abortion and support for same-sex marriage do not align with the Word of God.

1 Timothy 2:1-6 (NLT): "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time."

There is no true change apart from God. Do not put your trust in any man, but in Jesus Christ. Jesus is our mediator who has reconciled us back to God.

In this historic, election year, will you choose God? Will you invite Jesus into your heart? Remember, there is no change apart from God. If you want change in your life, give your life and your concerns to God.

Today was Youth Sunday , where our children and youth were leading and participating in the worship service. Our children read scripture, prayed, sang, and ministered a fine arts piece. We heard a message from a youth speaker, Abigail Campbell, who encouraged us to work hard and leave the rest to God.  Celebrating Our Graduates We also recognized and celebrated all of our graduates. Whether you completed high school, earned a college degree, completed graduate studies, or achieved another educational milestone, we rejoice with you and thank God for your hard work and perseverance.
