Prayer Requests, MLK Weekend, Church-Wide Prayer Rally (Pastoral Emphasis for 1/14)

We have several members who are dealing with health problems. So please keep them in your prayers:

  • Deaconess Erica Wilson (health challenges)
  • Minister Gerald Vinson (health problems)
  • Bro. Jadon Roberts (abdominal pain)
  • Sis. Alicia Welcher (hospitalized)
  • Bro. Joe Hancock (surgery scheduled for Wednesday). He has to fast from Monday to Wednesday. So we're calling all men to fast with Bro. Hancock and pray for the success of the surgery and his healing. Men, let's fast according to the way the Lord is leading you and your own health needs (one meal a day, certain type of food, particular kind of activity, etc.).

We welcome our newest member who completed NMO and his membership interview: Bro. Mickell Daily

Couples, it’s not too late to sign up to attend the Sweetheart Ball on Feb. 10th. The Oneness Ministry is still collecting payments. $170 includes dinner, dancing, fellowship, fun, and door prizes! On Sundays, stop by the table in the church lobby to make your payment or for more details. Note that this event is for couples who are married, engaged or seriously dating.

Here are the upcoming events that Mt. Zion is partnering with other churches and organization for the MLK Weekend. This evening is A Village Community Meal and Interactive Learning Experience at First Cary UMC. Tomorrow, Mt. Zion is hosting a 5K Walk for Hope from 10am to 12pm. We'll have a brief program at 10am and then start walking. We are partnering with Love from Above & Oak City Cares to raise awareness for the unhoused/homeless. When you register, you'll see the complete list of items you can bring for donation.

Our first Church-Wide Prayer Rally is Tuesday, 1/16 from 7 to 8pm. Our Singles Ministry is hosting and the theme is “All Things New”. Join us for an hour of corporate prayer.

The Revelation Study Guide is now available for download from the Resources page of the church website.

The 2023 member giving statements are ready. Stop by the Welcome Center after service to pick up your statement.

Dress Code, Spreading the Gospel to Japan, Skits & Pizza (Pastoral Emphasis from 7/26)

Thanks to all who came out to the Church Family Meeting. Our focus is reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though we don't have a formal dress code at church, I think we have an unspoken one. Our guest may perceive a dress code based on what they see on the stage from leadership. So in order to remove any barriers that might prevent some from visiting us or feeling comfortable in our service, the leadership will dress a little more casual. We will try this out until the end of the year and then evaluate. So don't be surprised when you see me not wearing a tie! I shared the following email that we got via our website to show that we are spreading the Gospel worldwide. To God be the glory! Greetings Mt. Zion Church Family...Today is July 27, 2009 and I would like to share the blessing that I have received from your church. I was talking to my very dear sister, soror, friend Sis Brandi Hancock and she and I were having a heart to heart. I told her that I was

One Life Saved
