Welcome New Member, Summer Bible Study Series, Time for Fellowship (Pastoral Emphasis for 6/28)

Bereavement

Please keep Deacon Rufus Credle and his family in your prayers following the passing of his mother yesterday.

During times of grief, we are reminded that the Lord is "near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Let us pray that God would surround the Credle family with His peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.

Welcome New Member

We are delighted to welcome Seka Esther Grace, who recently joined Mt. Zion on Christian Experience.

We thank God for bringing Seka into our church family and look forward to growing together in Christ. If you have the opportunity, be sure to introduce yourself and help make her feel at home.

Thank You for an Amazing VBS!

What an incredible week we experienced together at Wonder Junction: "Marvel at Jesus, Live for His Glory!"

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make Vacation Bible School such a success. Thank you to all of our:

  • Teachers

  • Classroom assistants

  • Volunteers

  • Hospitality team

  • Deacons

  • And everyone who served behind the scenes

Your time, energy, and joyful service helped create a week where children, youth, and adults could grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

A very special thank you goes to our VBS Coordinator, Sis. Brittany Graham, whose leadership, organization, and countless hours of preparation helped make this year's VBS an outstanding success. We appreciate her faithful service and the many volunteers who worked alongside her.

Summer Bible Study Series

Beginning this July, we invite everyone to join us for our Summer Bible Study Series as we journey through Isaiah chapters 40–44.

Together we'll discover God's beautiful message of comfort and restoration—a timely reminder of His faithfulness, strength, and unfailing love.

Each Wednesday evening we'll gather for:

  • 6:00 PM – Dinner

  • 7:00 PM – Bible study classes for adults, youth, and children

We encourage everyone to register each Wednesday in Realm. This helps us prepare enough meals and ensure we have everything ready to welcome everyone well.

Bring the whole family and make these Wednesday evenings a priority as we grow together in God's Word.

A New Time for Fellowship

During the month of July, we'll also be introducing a new element into our Sunday morning worship service.

Following Grace Giving, we'll enjoy a brief 10-minute fellowship and transition time. This will allow our youth and young adults to transition to their services while also giving our church family additional time to greet one another, build relationships, and strengthen the fellowship that makes our church such a special place.

One of the greatest blessings of the local church is not only worshiping together but truly knowing and encouraging one another. We hope this new time helps foster even deeper connections throughout our congregation.

Don't Forget the Ice Cream Social!

After today's service, don't rush home!

We invite everyone to stay for our VBS Ice Cream Social as we celebrate a wonderful week of ministry together. It's a great opportunity to enjoy a sweet treat, spend time with one another, and continue the fellowship that has been such a meaningful part of VBS week.

Responding to the Flooding, Christmas in July Food Drive, New Sermon Series (Pastoral Emphasis for 7/13)

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God? If God is so good, why do we suffer with natural disasters like flooding that takes the lives of seemingly innocent people like young children? The reality is that the fault lies with us. Humanity decided to rebel against the Creator God, thereby, ushering in sin and the fall from God's perfect creation. Natural disasters happen because we live in a fallen world ravaged by sin. Natural disasters like these floods are trag...

Minnesota School Shooting, Music Ministry Recruitment, Ark Encounter Trip (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/31)

Minnesota School Shooting Our hearts are heavy over the tragic school and church shooting in Minneapolis at Annunciation Catholic School, where two children lost their lives and many others—some as young as six—are recovering from serious injuries. Sadly, we couldn't get through a full week of traditional school before something like this happens. In this time of profound sorrow, let us hold close in prayer the grieving parents, families, and the entire Annunciation community. Though we cannot fully comprehend their pain, we can stand alongside them in faith, offering compassion, and intercession. May God bring comfort to those who mourn, healing to the wounded, and peace to a terrified community.  Of course, a mass shooting always brings up the issue for stricter gun laws. I agree we do need good legislation and sensible gun laws because it is the government's responsibility to protect its citizens. Ultimately, that will not solve our problem. For a country that has been ...
