Back 2 School Drive, 2019 Overcomers Youth Explosion (Pastoral Emphasis for 8/18)

Don't forget our Back 2 School Drive is underway. We are collecting donations for West Cary Middle School & The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford. We have a breakdown of supplies by zones. The drive will end on next Sunday, the 25th.

The 2019 Overcomers Youth Explosion for grades 6th-12th will be August 23-25! Registration is available online at 2019youthexplosion.eventbrite.com but closes on Tuesday, August 20. On Saturday, the 24th at 2pm, everyone is invited to go out to watch the movie Overcomer. Tickets for the movie must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the theatre.

Responding to the Flooding All of us are painfully aware of the devastating flooding that struck our nation recently. As of Friday evening, the confirmed death toll in Texas has risen to 129, with at least 150 individuals still missing across the state. Our hearts are heavy, and we grieve for the lives lost and the families enduring unimaginable pain. One of the first things people tend to do is look for someone to blame. Was it the fault of the warning system not being early enough? Was it the fault of the government (state and federal)? Was it the fault of God?
